Group Classes

Dropped Classes:
Clients who drop a class within 2 days prior to the class start date will receive a 50% refund.  No
refunds are given after the class begins.  Missed classes can be made up on alternate days or at an
alternate location.  There are no refunds for missed classes.

Dogs who are in heat cannot attend class.  If your dog has diarrhea, vomiting, or is otherwise unwell,
please keep your dog at home.  You are welcome to come and observe the class without your dog, or
to make-up the class.

Vaccinations:
Purely Positive Dog Training LLC requires that all dogs be current on vaccinations according to age for
DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella.  Vet records must be submitted prior to the class start date, or at
orientation.  Students who fail to provide vaccination information will be barred from class until they do
so.  Handwritten or hand-checked records are not acceptable.  

Purely Positive Dog Training LLC is aware of varying and developing opinions regarding canine
vaccination. Certain exceptions will be made with written documentation from your veterinarian.

Class Conduct:
Hitting or other abusive treatment towards dogs will not be tolerated.  Any student displaying such
behavior will immediately be asked to leave the class.

Aggression:
No dogs showing true aggression toward another dog or human being will be allowed to remain in
class.  Dogs who are fearful, defensive, and/or undersocialized may be allowed to remain in class
provided that they are safe in a group setting and not disruptive to the class.  This decision is made at
the discretion of the instructor, Susan Marett.

Clients asked to leave class due to an aggression issue will be given the prorated balance of their class
fee in the form of a credit for in-home behavior counseling.


Private Lessons/In-Home Training

Cancelled Lessons:
Any prepaid private training lesson that is cancelled less than 24 hours prior will not be made up or
rescheduled.  Exceptions are made for sickness, extreme weather, and true emergencies.

It is the client's responsibility to contact Purely Positive Dog Training LLC to reschedule lessons.

Refunds:
No refunds will be given for prepaid lessons unless the owner or the dog develops a serious health
problem, or if the dog is rehomed.

Clients who prepay for a set of training lessons have one year in which to schedule those lessons. If
more than one year has passed since the contract date, there will be no refunds given or the
scheduling of remaining lessons.


Lessons are non-transferable, and cannot be given by the owner to another person.
